Why Pure Nickel is Critical for E-Bikes
Electric bikes operate in a harsh environment. They are subject to constant road vibration, temperature fluctuations, and high current spikes during acceleration (up to 30A-50A). Using cheap plated steel strips is a recipe for failure.
Vibration Resistance
Pure Nickel (N6) is ductile and malleable. It absorbs road vibrations without cracking. Steel is stiff and brittle; over time, vibration can cause steel spot welds to fatigue and pop off, killing your battery.
Heat Management
Our kits use 0.15mm Pure Nickel. This handles roughly 7A continuous current per cell connection. For a 5P pack, that's 35A continuous output without overheating. Steel strips have 4x the resistance and will heat up, degrading your cells.

Pure Nickel (N6) is naturally ductile. It absorbs road shock without work-hardening and cracking. Cheaper steel strips are stiff and brittle, leading to weld failures over time on rough terrain.
Current Capacity
Our 0.15mm pure nickel offers 4x the conductivity of plated steel. For a 13S5P pack, our strips can handle 40A continuous discharge without overheating, ensuring your motor gets full power.
Short Circuit Protection
Our laser-cut strips have rounded corners and precise dimensions. This prevents the strip from cutting into the wire harness or shorting against the BMS, a common issue with hand-cut scissors.

No. We specialize in the enclosure and interconnects (nickel strips). Selling lithium cells internationally is restricted by shipping regulations. We recommend sourcing authentic cells (Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Molicel) from a reputable local supplier to ensure freshness and safety.
Our kits typically use 0.15mm Pure Nickel. For a standard 13S4P or 13S5P Hailong pack, this configuration can safely handle 30A - 40A continuous discharge (approx. 1500W motors). If you are building a high-performance pack (50A+), please contact us to request 0.2mm thickness or copper-nickel composite tabs.
We sell both, but we strongly recommend Pure Nickel N6 for e-bikes due to road vibration and high current spikes. All our "Pure Nickel" listings are XRF-verified 99.6% nickel. Plated steel is available for budget, low-power projects only.
Hailong and Polly cases have limited internal space. Our kits are designed to work with standard "Slim" BMS units (like Daly or JBD common port BMS) up to 40A. If you are using a very large Bluetooth BMS or a high-current (60A+) BMS, please check the case dimensions carefully or ask us for a layout diagram.
Technically yes, pure nickel takes solder well. However, soldering directly to 18650 cells is dangerous as the heat damages the internal cell chemistry and seals. We always recommend using a capacitive spot welder for the cell connections.
You will need: 1. A Spot Welder. 2. A Soldering Iron (for BMS wires). 3. A Multimeter (to check voltage). 4. Kapton Tape and Barley Paper (Insulators). Our kit provides the case, holders, and nickel; you provide the tools and assembly skills.
Standard kits won't fit custom layouts. However, you can send us your cell spacing measurements or a DXF file, and we can laser cut a custom nickel set for you. There is no mold fee for laser cutting, making it perfect for custom DIY projects.
