Pre-stamped strips designed for the specific pitch (center-to-center distance) of 32700 brackets (approx 34.5mm) and 26650 holders (approx 28.5mm). Eliminates alignment errors.

Engineering for Large Cylindrical Cells

Building packs with 32700 (32650) or 26650 cells presents unique challenges compared to standard 18650 packs. These larger cells—often LiFePO4 chemistry—are designed for stability and high capacity, typically requiring significantly higher current transmission.

 

Standard narrow strips will overheat and fail. You need extra-wide battery tabs and thicker gauges (0.2mm - 0.3mm). Our factory specializes in producing these heavy-duty interconnects. We move beyond simple ribbons to create robust battery busbars that ensure your energy storage system operates safely for years.

Factory Insight: We use specialized high-tonnage stamping presses to cut 0.3mm thick Pure Nickel, a capability many smaller workshops lack.

How We Customize for Large Cells

Standard rolls don't always fit. Large cells often require custom-shaped tabs to accommodate screw terminals, BMS sensing wires, or specific housing shapes.

1. Design

Send us your pack layout (e.g., 16S 100Ah LiFePO4). We check the pitch and current path.

2. Material

Select 0.2mm/0.3mm Pure Nickel or Copper-Nickel based on your Amperage (A) requirements.

3. Cutting

We use Fiber Lasers for prototypes (No MOQ) or Stamping Dies for mass production.

4. Deliver

For 32700 LiFePO4 cells, we strongly recommend a minimum of 0.20mm Pure Nickel. These cells typically have higher capacity (6Ah+) and discharge rates. For series connections carrying over 30A, you should use 0.30mm nickel or stack multiple layers. Using thin 0.15mm strips on large cells often leads to overheating.

Yes. This is the preferred method for high-power LFP packs. We can provide pre-laminated Copper-Nickel sheets or laser-cut composite tabs. The copper layer provides maximum conductivity, while the nickel layer enables easy spot welding to the steel cell casing.

Generally, no. 18650 strips typically have a pitch (spacing) of 18.5mm. 26650 cells are much wider (26mm diameter), requiring a pitch of approximately 26.5mm-28.5mm. Using the wrong strip will cause alignment issues and stress on the welds. You need our specific 26650 series tabs.

Yes. Many 32700 and 38120 cells use threaded terminals instead of spot welding. We can manufacture custom punched busbars (nickel or copper) with precise holes (e.g., M4/M5) to fit your screw terminals perfectly. Please provide the hole diameter and spacing.

For LiFePO4 (LFP) energy storage, longevity is key. Pure Nickel is mandatory because it has 1/4th the resistance of steel and will not corrode over 10+ years of service. Plated steel poses a risk of rusting and overheating, which contradicts the long-life benefit of LFP chemistry.

For laser-cut samples (e.g., 50 pieces), we can ship in 3-5 days. For mass production stamping (e.g., 10,000 pieces), lead time is typically 15-20 days including mold fabrication.
